💦 Wash Before First Use!

Removing any possible dust or chemicals will make sure whatever you're drinking is as pure as possible.

💦 Regular Cleaning Is Key

Start by rinsing your stainless steel water bottle with warm water approximately once a week to prevent the buildup of residue and odours. Use a mild dish soap or vinegar and a bottle brush to clean the inside thoroughly. Avoid harsh abrasives or bleach-based cleaners, as they can damage the paint and stainless steel.

💦 Hand Wash Is Recommended

While some stainless steel water bottles are labelled as dishwasher-safe, our Kwench water bottles are rubber painted and so it's best to wash the bottle by hand. This prevents the paint from deteriorating or peeling due to the high heat and strong detergents used in dishwashers.

💦  Be Mindful of Scratches

While stainless steel is known for its durability, the coating can be vulnerable to scratches. Just be aware you put your your bottle and how you treat it! 

💦 Towel Dry and Store Open

After washing and before storing for any period of time (which you probably won't as you'll be using it!) make sure it's dry. Any moisture trapped between the bottle and the paint can lead to mould or paint deterioration over time. Store the bottle with the cap off to allow air circulation, which will prevent any yukky smells.

💦 Use Baking Soda for Stubborn Stains

If you find any stubborn stains on your water bottle, create a paste using baking soda and water. Gently scrub the stained areas with a soft cloth (nothing abrasive), then rinse thoroughly. Baking soda is a natural abrasive that can help lift stains without harming the rubber paint. Baking soda is a great cleaning agent!

💦 Avoid Harsh Chemicals

When cleaning your stainless steel water bottle, steer clear of harsh chemicals, including bleach, ammonia, or strong solvents. Not only do you not want to ingest these substances, but they can degrade the rubber paint and compromise the integrity of the stainless steel.

 All it takes is a little TLC and you can enjoy your stainless steel water bottle well into the future.
